Deputy Consul General

Shanza Faiq

Shanza Faiq is currently serving as the Deputy Consul General in the Consulate. She is a career diplomat and joined Pakistan’s Foreign Service in 2019, after having topped the CSS exam in Pakistan.

Prior to joining the civil service, she graduated with a BA-LLB (Hons) from LUMS and went on to pursue an LLM in International Development Law and Human Rights from University of Warwick, under the prestigious Woman of Law scholarship, awarded to one female every year. She has also worked in the development sector in Pakistan, focusing in climate change, women empowerment and microfinance.

Before her posting to Sydney, she has served in the UN Division at the MOFA Headquarters and at the Foreign Minister’s Office. She has also undergone German language training in Berlin.
